The painter

he is anterior and summons things anterior,
that moment when the world is defenseless
as in the waters of its genesis.
and you recognize yourself
as in an ancient calling,
always renewed in the pure original,
in the pure origin
that offers no prayers.
it simply says them
and if they end in elevation
it’s because they’ve been left in god’s hands.
left to be. he goes to them
like to something with more clarity than life itself.
